GP System Clinical Lead (Children's Health) - DDICB

An opportunity has arisen for an individual with a General Practice clinical background to undertake a System GP Clinical Lead role working 2 sessions per month asGP System Clinical Lead with an interest in the speciality area of Children's Health.

The GP System Clinical Lead will be reactive to changing system clinical leadership and input needs whilst maintaining an interest in the speciality area. The role will support the delivery of commissioning and clinical transformation plans across the clinical specialities, and link with ongoing work streams within the NHS Derby and Derbyshire ICB, Joined Up Care Derbyshire, Place and Primary Care to review best evidence for the development and delivery of clinical pathways.

The role will also require attendance at forums and meetings linked to such work streams as necessary and will work collaboratively with clinicians from community and secondary care.

The Clinical Lead role has an hourly rate of £85 per hour (gross) with a session being 4 hours. The role is initially being appointed on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2026.

The position is open to individuals with a General Practice clinical background currently working predominantly within our Derbyshire area (it is open to colleagues working in Principal, Salaried or Locum GP positions).
