An opportunity has arisen for an individual with a General Practice clinical background to undertake a System GP Clinical Lead role working 4 sessions per month, with an interest in the speciality area of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) including Stroke.

 

The postholder will be required to attend regional and national cardiac network meetings on a quarterly basis and will have responsibility for supporting the ICS in the delivery of the cardiovascular disease and stroke care priorities as outlined in the NHS Long Term plan. A key aspect of the role will be to work with all key stakeholders at ICS level to support the delivery of the recently published Cardiac Network Specification vision, aims, objectives and priority work areas. The post holder will also have responsibility for clinical leadership, engagement, and influence across all cardiac activities within the ICS with a focus across whole end to end pathways.

 

The Clinical Lead has an hourly rate of £85 per hour (gross) with a session being 4 hours. The role is initially being appointed on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2026.

 

The position is open to individuals with a General Practice clinical background currently working in the Derbyshire area.
